I’m Just a Girl…

The Diary of Cassandra Shackleford.

Who am I?

I guess I should figure that out before blogging, and develop my voice and character. But I could be a model for a teen drama like Gilmore Girls. A diary of a girl living in a dystopian teen fiction setting. But it’s also just a relatable teen drama setting. But it’s really just everything happening to me in my stranger-than-fiction Internet-based life.

And I can kind of go through what it’s like coming to terms with intergenerational trauma and trying to heal that trauma being triggered, and how I try to deal with it in my friendships and relationships and in therapy and junk.

And the episodes are about healing and fighting and learning to be more open emotionally, which is the point of Gilmore Girls and any good Teen TV show in my opinion.

But it’s just weird because it’s also set in a cyberpunk dystopia and there are actually Nazis and stuff.

But that’s what it feels like to live extremely online, or in this extreme online time, it’s that you can be extraordinarily transparent and also totally fictional like all at the same time, because it’s like, we are all going through the same universal experiences, you know?

Everything is kind of deep-fried meme-ified, and pretty much everything that happens to me happened to 10,000 other people today and can be expressed in a gif or reddit post or something.

The thing about human experience is that it dosen’t need to be unique to be meaningful. In fact it’s the “lol so relatable” moments of art that make it timeless, truly throughout time, transcending history. Those relatable things about life make us human and connect us to the people of Pompeii who got caught jerking off.
